Meet The Doctor

Dr. Terrell Jones founded Plateau Oral Surgery in 2010.  He sold his practice to Dr. Caldemeyer in August 2015 and retired.

Dr. Caldemeyer is 44 years old and has been practicing oral & maxillofacial surgery for 14 years, or since 2001. He attended Muncie Central High School (1989), Wabash College (1993), and Indiana University School of Dentistry (1997).  He then moved to New Haven, Connecticut where he completed his residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Yale University School of Medicine (2001).  He next entered private practice from 2001-2007 in San Diego.  Then he furthered his training to include Facial Cosmetic & Reconstructive Surgery, completing an accredited fellowship in Facial Cosmetic & Reconstructive Surgery in Columbus, Mississippi through Emory University (2008).  He then returned to private practice in San Diego.  Based on a desire to return to the the South, Dr. Caldemeyer and his family moved from San Diego in 2013, eventually settling in Cookeville in 2015.

 He is a diplomate (Board Certified) of both the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology.  He is a fellow in the Americal Association’s of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the American College of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon’s.   He is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. 

 He has served as a volunteer on the Thousand Smiles Cleft Lip and Palate Team, been active on the Cleft Lip and Palate and Craniofacial Teams at the Children’s Hospital in San Diego, as volunteer facility to the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Balboa Naval Hospital,  at local USCD free dental clinics, and in Share the Care through the San Diego County Dental Society. 

 Dr. Caldemeyer is on staff at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
